Real illusion
What is real? What is illusion?
Is the computer monitor right in front of your eyes this very moment, real, or fake? Are things that can be seen and felt be considered real? Can you touch it? Probably. This makes it real right? But can you see the wiring, and CRTs or LCD circuitry? You know that they are there. That makes them real? But you can't see them... Based on the previous definition, they should not be real. But yet, you knoow they are there. In this case, if things that can't be seen, but someone KNOWS that they are there, can these things be considered real? If so, does it mean that anything anyone believes that is there, or/and should be there, be considered real then.
The same thing can be regarded to gods and deities and saints. Are they real? Believers will say, without the shadow of a doubt, YES. But has anyone seen them before? Proabably not. So, how can they be real? "Oh I'll see them when I get to the other side" is a typical answer. Acceptable, but no one here and now, on this plane, can be testament to that, can they? When one crosses over, he is there for good... no way of communicating with this plane of existence. So, for us still on this world, are gods and deities and saints real?
So, what exactly is real? And what is illusion?
To me, something that is real, is something I BELIEVE to be present, or in existence. What I believe, someone else may not. Or everybody else in the world may not. But I do. That makes that thing real, doesn't it?
But then again, what exactly is real? And what is illusion? I'm actually not here. What you see is not here. I am TELLING you, that it is REALLY NOT HERE!!! But you probably wouldn't believe me, right? So is this real? or not... ...
